Directions from LONDON - come out on the M4 -

turn off at Junction 15 - follow signs to the M5 -

(do not recommend driving through STROUD - the one way traffic systems are confusing and delaying)

just before Gloucester join the M5 (Junction 11A) signed - BRISTOL / SOUTH WEST -

leave the M5 Motorway at Junction 13 & bear right to the roundabout on the A38

- and right again, up the slight hill to Whitminster

- take the 1st left (immediately after the Garden Centre) into the village & drive straight through -

WHITMINSTER HOUSE is in the old part of Whitminster,
now called
WHEATENHURST  on sign posts -
approx a mile & half on from `new` Whitminster village.

Drive through the village, over a mini roundabout & past the School,
down a sloped S bend, after which you will leave the houses.

Continue along the hedged road until you come to a serious left-hand bend.
After this (not on it) approx 100 yards on the right, drive through
white gate posts by a cottage, & over the cattle gird - a SIGN on the left gatepost says
WHITMINSTER HOUSE - PRIVATE DRIVE -
keep straight along this gravelled drive (ignore the spur to the Church)
and it will bring you to the House, across another cattle grid.
Drive up to the front door - which is under a stone porch set between two friendly stone lions, &
opposite stone steps up to the Church.
Use the iron door knocker loudly. Don`t be shy...
