Visitors & party guests have described the location, setting & atmosphere of Whitminster House variously as 'magical', 'awesome', 'friendly & welcoming'. A spacious en-suite in the West Wing Self Catering accommodation is ideal for the bride to bathe, dress & be pampered in peace by her choice of hairdresser, manicurist and make-up artist etc. And for smaller parties from 30 - 50 a hired Marquee might not be required - there are under cover party rooms off the Old Stables & behind the Farm Houses which can be used together with the accommodations instead.

Marquees

We are fortunate in having several Marquee suppliers all within easy range who can provide a variety of shapes, sizes & styles, fully-furnished, to receive any number of guests, from 80 to 500, with your choice of lining, flooring, lighting, chairs, etc. We will obtain good quotes for your consideration.

General Services

We also offer a good choice for the Reception CATERING, & Wedding Cake, Disco, Floral, & Entertainment requirements, to provide competitive services to meet your individual wishes.
We can arrange for any of the above to meet you here to discuss ideas & offer helpful advice & quotes for your approval. We hold a Residential Licence & Wine Merchant Accounts to offer a choice of Wines, local Beers etc.

Music

We have contacts with a choice of local agents to provide professional D-Js, Jazz Bands, Trio & Quartet ensembles, Harpists, Bagpipes, Singers, Steel Bands etc., any of whom can be booked to play the music of your choice, subject to availability.

Flowers

We have contacts locally with creative professional florists who can interpret your colour schemes & themes with panache. They will provide quotes for all your Bouquets, Buttonholes, Corsages, & Large or Small arrangements in the Church, & in the Marquee for all the table & free-standing arrangements & palms & pot plants etc. as required. Or, your own family and friends may wish to undertake to do some of these instead?

Babysitting

We have a few qualified & kindly local 'baby & child minders' who conform to the latest stringent Government regulations which now apply to babysitting services, who may if booked well in advance be able to take care of small ones during the Ceremony & Reception as required. Quotes will vary according to the ages and numbers of children & babies to be cared, and hours required. Alternatively there are websites for child-minding agents:.

The Bell Tents option: needs to be booked ahead - will be ready set-up to sleep 4 each in 2 double beds, with duvets & LED lights - and taken down after the weekend, all made trouble free for you - a useful extra for younger guests to save them driving home after the Reception?
