Visitors & party guests have described the location, setting & atmosphere of
Whitminster House variously as ‘magical’, `awesome`, ‘friendly & welcoming’. A spacious en-suite in the West Wing Self Catering
accommodation is ideal for the bride to bathe, dress & be pampered in peace by
her choice of hairdresser, manicurist and make-up artist.
For smaller parties up to 30 -
where a hired Marquee is not required - there is an under cover party room off
the Old Stables which can be used together with the accommodation & lawn |

Marquee
We are fortunate in having two major
suppliers, Alpha and Attwoolls, based nearby. Both companies can quote
for a
range
of fully-furnished pavilions or marquees to receive any number of
guests, from 50 to 500, with your
choice of coloured linings, floorings,
lightings & chairs. And there are other suppliers with different shapes
&
sizes also available within local reach.

They are happy to meet you here to

We have a Residential Licence and can provide a good selection of Wines,
and local Beers as required.

Photographers who are most
familiar with our
venue - Cathy of vividphotography grew up here - and
both know the best places for photo-backgrounds
& views, & both work unobtrusively and considerately not to interrupt, but be
an asset to your
proceedings.

others alas are all my own!!)
Both `Cathy` and `Vaughan` are adept at blending in with your guests, to produce
an evocative album filled with a
mix of formal & informal
photographs, particularly spontaneous informal pictures which help to capture the
special spirit & story of

Music
We have contacts with a choice of local agents to provide professional
D-Js, Jazz Bands, Trio & Quartet
ensembles, Harpists, Bagpipes,
Singers, Steel Bands etc., any of whom can be booked to play the music of
your choice, subject to availability.
Flowers
We have contacts locally with creative
professional florists who can interpret your colour schemes & themes with
panache. They will provide quotes for all your Bouquets, Buttonholes,
Corsages, & Large or Small arrangements
in the Church, & in the Marquee for all the table & free-standing arrangements &
palms & pot plants etc. as
required. Or, your own family and friends may wish to undertake to do
some of these instead?
For the Church Flowers - the Church Flower ladies are sometimes willing to
help
with wedding arrangements
Babysitting
We have a few qualified & kindly local ‘baby & child minders’ who conform to the
latest stringent Government
regulations which now apply to
babysitting services, who may if booked well in advance be able to take care of
small ones during the Ceremony & Reception
as required.

children & babies to be cared,
