Whitminster House is a Grade II* (star) Country Manor, which was in the ownership of the Kings of England from the time of William the Conqueror up until the reign of Henry V. Its architecture has evolved gracefully since Medieval days with a special blend of period styles.  Visitors describe it as magical, & friendly, and express admiration & appreciation for the location, surroundings & the flexibitity of our attractive character cottage and Apartment accommodations. As a venue for your special occasion it can add beauty & atmosphere, giving you a venue with privacy and a personal touch in relaxed surroundings.  We provide ample parking
 
For WEDDINGS & other Receptions we offer a choice of 3 OPTIONS - (all quotes ex. VAT)
 
  OPTION 1.
     The Venue charge only @ £3,000 for use of the Manor House Reception rooms and grounds during the first part of your Reception and for the early evening, with fires lit in the Hall & Drawing room for your guests to sit round in friendly conversation away from noise in the Marquee.
     But, for the main Reception, Catering, Speeches, Dancing etc., a Marquee is required to be hired through our suppliers, to be sited on our spacious lawns, with a covered walk-way from the House. 
All the arrangements as discussed with you will need to be booked through our Offices.
     The Manor House doors will be closed at a reasonable hour, at our discretion, but you are welcome to continue for as long as you wish in the Marquee, subject to current law.  
     With this Option you do need at least to book the West Wing & Old Stables & Lodge Cottage accommodations for your full privacy.
     You will have use of the Marquee and our spacious lawns & BBQ also for the next day for Brunch if you wish, no extra overhead charges, only a small cost to clean and re-set, if required.

OPTION 2.
    The Venue charge only @ £500 and all arrangements for the Marquee, Catering, Entertainment etc. to be booked through us as above. With this Option you need at least to book the West Wing & Old Stables & Lodge Cottage accommodations for your full privacy. With the Old Stables you have an additional party room and lawn also for overflow if required.

OPTION 3.
     The Venue charge only @ £1,500 - plus the cost of the Marquee to be booked through our Office – the site for this is on the large mown field between our Lodge Cottage and Whitminster Church - our grounds surround the Church - and you can make as many of or all the other arrangements direct for yourselves as you wish, but these will still need to be checked with us for security approval in advance.
     With this Option the Lodge & Church Cottages accommodations at least need to be booked for your full privacy.

ALL OPTIONS -
     We need to meet first to discuss the style you want for your WEDDING, the type of Marquee, Catering, Entertainment etc. and we will obtain competitive quotes for you to consider.  We can also help if you wish with recommendations for Flower arrangers, Make-up and Hairdressing, extra Loo Hire etc., or you may wish to arrange these yourself, but all arrangements for the function will need to be checked with us in advance for our security.

For Church Weddings we put you in touch direct with the Rector - to check date and time availability & he can organise Bell Ringing & Choir etc. as you wish for your Wedding Service - & the Church Flower ladies might help with the Church Flowers arrangements too. 
(No matter from where you come from, I believe he regards you as temporary residents in our Holiday Cottages, if all else fits in with the Church regulations - he will explain these etc.)
