LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

We are fortunate to be situated in the Severn Vale on the edge of the Cotswolds, with all its many and varied attractions. 

Scenic canal and country walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep of your cottage, Saul Marina is adjacent and the River Severn a pretty walk away (past a pub!).

There is a wealth of fun activities and places to visit for adults and children alike, including the world-famous Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust, beautiful Berkeley Castle (location for 'Poldark', 'Wolf Hall', 'The Hollow Crown' and 'Johnny English Strikes Again'), the fun of Cattle Country, Gloucester Docks and cathedral, Highgrove, several National Trust properties and the annual entertainments of Frampton Fair and the Berkeley Show.

 

We are near to Cheltenham and Gloucester with easy access to Bath and Bristol for theatre, restaurants, sight-seeing and shopping.

CHELTENHAM Racecourse for the GOLD CUP in March, and Race Meetings all year round, is only c. half an hour away. 
We are useful also for Racecourses at CHEPSTOW & BATH, and Events at GATCOMBE & BADMINTON.
